Mr. Gernot Lindner, a passioned collector of eyewear visits the most important fairs of antiquities. Repeatedly he experiences extraordinary pieces and starts collecting them. The most important exhibits of his fascinating collection have its origin between 1650 and 1950. Besides spectacle frames Gernot Lindner also collects cases, pince nez, magnifiers, telescopes, microscopes.

He admires the technical skills of eyewear makers of the last centuries. However, he can not find anything comparable in our fast moving society.

Gernot Lindner is absolutely sure that people even today have a sense for quality and can be inspired by perfect shapes and that they recognize the worth a perfect product.

 

 

THE ESTABLISHMENT OF

A COMPANY


So he founded the company Lunor in 1991.He starts producing handmade frames with traditional methods. The balanced use of shapes of his samples are contemporary implemented.

A clear and balanced eyewear collection was born with materials that have proved over centuries.

 

 

PRECIOUS HANDCRAFT


A Lunor frame is always made by hand, some models have even more than 200 working steps. All models are designed, realized and produced without any compromise.

Frames from 1840 inspired Gernot Lindner to develop a telescopic temple. This special line is provided with handmade cases from domestic hardwoods.
